Most people retire only once and the process of closing down the practice is a whole new experience. As a part-time GP of 30 years, Dr. Cheung has a small practice compared to her colleague. Nevertheless, the planning, preparation and finally packing it all up still follow the same steps administratively to meet legal and College requirements. We thought that everything was going according to plan when 2-3 weeks before the set date, we identified some fine prints in the contract of our initial storage company which could pose a problem in the future.
